We have 28 students in our class of Year 3 students. Our main aim as a class is to have a caring and safe classroom where everybody gets a fair go. Another important aim is to make all our work A1 quality and our handwriting is getting better already!!! We are very well-behaved NEARLY all the time, in class and around the school. We have the Riwaka Rail Train for especially good behaviour and good work. Some of our favourite activities are: swimming, games involving catching and throwing, fitness to music inside the classroom, and all our main subjects because our amazing teacher, Mrs Howie makes it such fun for us. We also love art, reading and PE. We're very good at maths games. A major topic this year was a deep-sea study. Lots of us have interests outside school, like soccer, Rugby, cricket, swimming and netball, are in drama, music, computers, sailing, riding horses, collecting things and making things, so we don't hang about getting bored do we?

We care for each other by looking after those who are lonely, and by not hurting others. We are a special class because we care and because we love to learn. Our environment is special as we have a new classroom with lots of displays of art work. WE ARE THE SENIORS OF THE JUNIOR SCHOOL AND WE SET A GOOD EXAMPLE TO YOUNGER STUDENTS. Visitors like Police Officer Tonkin love coming to talk to us because we are so well-mannered, and our teacher always looks so pleased with us. BWeBman also enjoys visiting. |

We had a visitor, Mrs Eileen Stewart, who spoke to us about what it was like to be pioneers, in the early days of New Zealand, and the hardships people had to endure
