Nestled at the edge of the West Tasman fruitgrowing area is Riwaka, about 55 km from Nelson, and 5 km from the town of Motueka. We are adjacent to the paradise of the Kaiteriteri beaches, and the hugely popular Abel Tasman National Park, administered by the Department of Conservation. |
OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
The students are predominantly country children, and the parents are interested in their youngsters' education and supportive of the School.
The children come from as far away as the top of the Takaka Hill and from the town of Motueka as well as the local catchment. The school has an enrolment scheme which limits the number of out-of-zone pupils.

We are a country school, so many children travel by bus. Photographed in 1998, this shows the old original Cadillac school bus, used up until WW2, alongside a newer bus, with children dressed as they would have been in the '30's
